Climate

Benidorm has a beautiful Mediterranean climate with pleasant summer months and mild winter days, and the area is mostly dry all year round. The year-long, ideal weather means that winters offer the ideal time to explore the quaint boutiques, promenades, and cosy outdoor eateries, which are best enjoyed under the warm winter sun. The annual average low and high temperature typically varies from 8°C/47°F to 28°C/84°F.

Demographics

One of Europe's most culturally diverse cities, Benidorm has a population of 71,000 with a high percentage of ex-pats that live here, making the city culturally diverse. In recent years there has been a strong demand for luxury, modern and new build homes with a majority of the buyers coming from Central Europe.

Economy

The tourism industry is the biggest driving factor of Benidorm's economy and fuels quite a few of the employment sectors.

Beaches

The Cala Almadraba, Playa del Albir, Playa del Mal Pas, Poniente Beach, and Levante Beach are the best and most popular beaches of Benidorm that have scenic beauty and also provide good facilities to beach-goers.

Educational Institutes

The town is home to private educational institutes that provide excellent facilities to students such as the Colegio Internacional Lope de Vega Benidorm, Associacion Waldorf la Marina, Colegio de Procuradores de Alicante, and Collegi Internacional Costa Blanca.

Golf

The Villaitana Golf (Poniente and Levante), and Puig Campana Golf are three courses that serve the residents of Benidorm. There are nearby courses in Alicante, Altea, La Sella and Javea.

Medical Facilities

There are many private medical centres in and around Benidorm. One of the region's premier, private medical centres, the IMED Levante is located in Benidorm. It provides multidisciplinary health care to many of the towns and villages in the Alicante province.

Shopping

Head to the Centro Comercial El Centro, Centro Comercial La Noria, or Centro Comercial La Marina for delicious foods and the latest in fashion. They are shopping malls that are home to numerous stores, including big chain brands and high-end boutiques.

Restaurants Benidorm is the place to satiate seafood cravings and taste the local Valencian fare. The Michelin Star restaurant El Xato, just 9 kilometres from the city.
