Benissa
Climate
Located near the Mediterranean Sea, Benissa has a climate that is typical of this region (the Northern Costa Blanca) with warm and clear summers and mild and sometimes cloudy winters. During summers revellers are seen sun tanning or splashing around on the beaches, while winter months are when the sun-soaked, outdoor restaurants see a lively crowd. The annual average low and high temperature typically varies from 7°C/45°F to 26°C/80°F.
Demographics
Over 11,000 people reside in the municipality of Benissa, which also has a significant ex-pat population comprising British, Dutch, French and German residents.
Economy
The economy of Benissa is driven by the tourism-based service sector, and supported by the traditional mainstay of agriculture, of which wine production plays a big role.

Sandy, blue-flagged beaches, intimate coves, water-sport centric marinas, shallow crystal clear water inlets, Benissa offers all, including the gorgeous La Fustera Beach and the coves of Pinets, Platgeta de l'Advocat, Baladra, and Bassetes Bay Beach. The coastline between Moraira and Calpe is nothing short of spectacular, and the Benissa coastal walk is truly a beautiful experience.

The private Hospital HLA San Carlos is just 15 minutes away from Benissa, while just a little further away is one of the region's biggest private medical centres, the Hospital IMED Levante. The nearby Calpe offers a wealth of excellent medical facilities.

PLAÇA CENTRAL Calp and Portal de la Marina Shopping Center are large shopping malls, with numerous designer stores, luxury outlets, and famous brands that are good for retail therapy. Both the malls are within a 15 minutes drive from Benissa.

Savour traditional rice dishes such as el arros del senyoret, arros amb fesols i penques, and el putxero or seafood delicacies like putchero de polp and esgarraet at the Michelin Star Restaurants that are located within 10 minutes driving distance.
