Climate
Cumbre Del Sol is blessed with pleasant summers that are perfect for going to the beach, and mild winters, which are ideal for discovering the indoor recreational and leisure amenities of the town. The average maximum temperature is 30°C (87°F), while July is the sunniest month and September and November is usually when it rains.
Demographics
Cumbre del Sol, located between the popular coastal resorts of Moraira and Jávea, and has a population of about 5,000 inhabitants, who are a mix of Spanish residents and British and European ex-pats.
Economy
The area's economy revolves around the cultivation of muscatel grapes and almonds. A tourism-based service sector also provides for significant employment.
Beaches
The beaches in Cumbre del Sol are some of the most stunning in the whole of Spain and have often been included in Spain’s Top 10 beaches. Playa Granadella has been voted Spain’s most beautiful beach, with Cala Moraig often appearing in the Top 10. There are many picturesque coves with shallow, crystal waters and pebbly shores such as the Cala del Llebeig, Cala de Los Tiestos, and Cala Moraig.
Educational Institutes
The private English primary school Lady Elizabeth is located in town and is one of the best private schools in the region providing premier-quality of education. There are also a few other International schools (Javea International college, Waldorf) located in the very nearby Javea.
Golf
Cumbre del Sol is a good base for golf enthusiasts, as it takes just ten minutes by car to reach the nine-hole Club de Golf Jávea, while the eighteen-hole golf course La Sella is fifteen minutes away by car. There are many spectacular courses within an Hour’s drive including Galiana, Levante Benidorm, and Oliva.
Medical Facilities
Two private hospitals that are both a 30 minutes drive away from Cumbre del Sol are the Hospital HLA San Carlos and Policlínica Glorieta Denia. Benidorm and Calpe also offer a wealth of medical facilities.
Shopping
Cumbre del Sol is within 10 minutes by car from the big shopping centre of La Portal La Marina, which offers a variety of luxury and trendy retails brands.
