Climate
Denia enjoys the best of the classic Mediterranean climate with warm, sunny summers and mild, agreeable winters with temperatures very seldom falling under 5°C/41°F. The annual average low and high temperature typically varies from 8°C/48°F to 28°C/82°F. The all-year long pleasant weather makes it a fantastic golf and outdoor destination.
Demographics
Denia has a population of 40,000 inhabitants and this number usually doubles during summer as it is a very popular coastal resort. There is a large ex-pat population including Dutch, Belgians and French.
Economy
The tourism sector and service sector is strong as Denia is a port town, which also serves as the gateway to the popular Balearic Islands of Ibiza and Mallorca. Fishing, agriculture (oranges, almonds, rice, grapes, and olive groves) and the restaurant industry bolster this vibrant economy.
Beaches
Denia is home to pretty, Blue Flag beaches and cosy coves. The sandy beaches are located in the area of Les Marines and the rockier shores of the Les Rotas area provide good opportunities for snorkelling and scuba diving. The Les Deveses, Punta del Raset, La Marineta Cassiana, Arenetes, and Punta Negra are some of the town's most popular beaches.

The Alpha & Omega School is a private school located in Denia that provides world-standard infant, primary and secondary education. You will find more private International schools in Javea (Javea International college, Waldorf).
Golf
Denia is just 4 kilometres away from La Sella's trio of 9-hole golf courses, which offer sea and mountain views. Also located within a 20 minutes drive are the three courses of Oliva Nova, Jávea, and Club de Golf Ifach.
Medical Facilities
Denia has its own private hospitals, namely the Policlínica Glorieta Denia and the Hospital HLA San Carlos, making it very easy for residents to access the premier medical centres of the region.
Shopping
The Marquesa de Campo is the main high street with an abundance of fashionable clothing and jewellery shops. The Portal de la Marina, which is among the region's biggest shopping malls houses high-street brands and designer labels and is a 10-minute drive away.

Denia is close to five Michelin Star Restaurants that offer the chance to experience the highest echelons of gastronomy. They include El Raset, Peix & Brases, El Baret de Miquel, Quique Dacosta, and Atticcook.
