Climate
The weather in Polop is warm and pleasant during summers from late June to early September. The winters are dry, with partly cloudy skies sometimes, but the temperature very seldom falls below 4°C/37°F (and only in the coldest hours of the morning). Polop is a small municipality/village with around 4000 inhabitants. There is a notable ex-pat population of Brits, Dutch, Germans, and Scandinavians.

Polop’s economy centres on agriculture, farming fruits, olives, and almonds. Much of the agriculture is from the giant greenhouses in the surrounding countryside. Today, tourism has also become a primary driving force of the local economy.
